I'm not sure. There may be a shorter path from the north or from the Fish Hatchery. It's a pretty easy four miles though and well worth the hike. It follows the river the entire way.

me and my cuz have been to this grave yard....like 4 times...but we did also go at like 1, 2, 3, and even 4 in the morning...but when you get in there you cant see 5 inches in front of your face (w/o a flashlight)...its definately colder back there...and we have seen some pretty freaky stuff....like heads peaking around trees and little kid apparitions running by like 5 feet away from us...i mean

PS: Unfortunately, the article on Greenville Online made the same subtle mistake. By not clarifying that a SECTION of trail was being opened, it leads one to believe the entire thing is done.

Thanks for the update. One clarification may be needed. The 5K (I participated) was celebrating the opening of a particular section of trail. I didn't sense it was announcing that the entire trail was ready. A small semantic maybe, but the start of your article may mislead people to think the entire trail is done. There is still a good bit of work as you discovered. But I'm assuming it will be
